Refund policy

At Rasroots, we take great care in preparing and packaging our handcrafted pickles and condiments. Due to the nature of food products, we maintain a strict return policy to ensure safety and quality for all our customers.

Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.

1. Returns

Because our products are edible and perishable items:

❌ We do not accept returns on food products once delivered.

This policy is in place to maintain hygiene and food safety standards.

2. Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Products

We will gladly assist you if:

  • You received a damaged product

  • You received the wrong item

  • The product is leaking or spoiled upon delivery

To be eligible:

  • You must notify us within 24 hours of delivery

  • You must provide:

    • Clear photos of the product

    • Photos of outer packaging

    • Order number

    • Unboxing video (strongly recommended)

Failure to report within 24 hours may make the request ineligible.

3. Refunds

Once we review your claim:

  • If approved, we may offer:

    • A replacement product

    • Store credit

    • Refund to original payment method

Refunds (if approved) are processed within 5–7 business days.

Processing time may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.

4. Order Cancellation

  • Orders can be cancelled only before dispatch.

  • Once the order is shipped, it cannot be cancelled.

To cancel, email us immediately with your order number.

5. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be provided in the following cases:

  • Change of taste preference

  • Minor oil leakage typical in pickles (if within safe packaging standards)

  • Delay caused by courier partner

  • Incorrect shipping address provided by customer

  • Opened or partially consumed products

6. Natural Variations

Our products are handmade using traditional methods. Slight variations in:

  • Color

  • Texture

  • Oil level

  • Spice intensity

are natural and do not qualify as defects.
